Follow Friday and Book Blogger Hop

I haven't yet finished any book this week, I wonder why. Why am I reading so slow? Well, enough for that, let's get the drum to roll.

FOLLOW FRIDAY Feature & Follow Friday is a blog hop hosted by Parajunkee that expands your blog following by a joint effort between bloggers. First you leave your name here and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them hi in their comments. You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win.

Q. How many books do you read in a week? And in what format do you read them, or listen to them?

I probably be - 1 book a week. I read so slow and I procrastinate very often. I mostly read paperbacks - you know that Hardbounds are expensive. Here in the Philippines, a hardbound average prize is Php 800. The paperbacks are Php 300. So, if I will decide to buy one hardbound, I can buy two instead by choosing the paperbacks version of them. So I saved money!

"What book-to-movie adaption have you most liked?  Which have you disliked?"

For me, it's Harry Potter. Mostly because it didn't disappointed me. Some book-to-movie adaption are juts so lame and not as good as the books. One of those that I despise, is the movie version of The Lightning Thief. The book was so ruined by the movie. The plot was changed and the excitement ceased.

Follow Friday and Book Blogger Hop

Hello there! It's been a long time since I participated in Follow Friday and Book Blogger Hop. And what cool is,  I was picked again for the second time in the Blogger Hop. I really like asking you guys and hearing your wonderful answers. So let's get started.

FOLLOW FRIDAY Feature & Follow Friday is a blog hop hosted by Parajunkee that expands your blog following by a joint effort between bloggers. First you leave your name here and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them hi in their comments. You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win.

Q. It's circle time. Time for us to open up and share. Can you tell us FIVE quirky habits or things about you? We all have them...

1. I always have a mug and a tumbler in my desk. I'm obsess with water
and coffee. My tumbler holds the water and the mug's the coffee - but today I ran out of coffee.
2.  Are you familiar with those HUGE size Toblerones? Yes, I can finish one bar in a day.
3. Even how hot it is, I always keep my windows close at night. Who knew if some zombie may want to kill me?
4. I sleep at midnight and woke up exactly 12:00nn. Mostly
5. I like rainy days - average rain not the thunderous one.

"If you were given the chance to spend one day in a fictional world (from a book), which book would it be from and what would that place be?"

I would like to be in the world of The Hunger Games. You might say, "because it's the hype today" No. I'm the kind of person who loves leadership (Panem) History (North America to Panem) Technology (Capitol) and a lot of things. So I might be happy to walk in their world for a day.

Book Blogger Hop

Wow, my question was chosen for this week's hop!

Book Blogger Hop

What book influenced or changed your life?
How did it influence/change you?

I'm 16 and I'm not old. Neil Gaiman's The Graveyard Book, somehow influence my daily life and sight for the future. In the book, main character: Bod, lives with his ghosts guardians. He can do what ever he wants in the graveyard. He has a lot of adventures. Until one day, the time to leave his ghost parents and guardians, had arrived. From the moment I finished reading the book, I made my everyday life a little bit more challenging and cherishing every moment. Because one day, when I get older, I will need to live on my own with my new family.

So these days, I want to treasure every moment I have with the parents, sibling, and friends. I want to enjoy the remaining time where we are together EVERYDAY. Because even we can still see each other in the future, it's not already everyday. We need to make a living so we will be very busy.

These moments will be in my heart forever.

"What is the thing you like most about reading book blogs?  Is it the reviews, author guest posts, articles, giveaways, or something else entirely?"

The thing I like most in book blogs are the books. Book blogs introduce me to the books I don't know. It is a very easy way. With their reviews or thoughts about it, I can save my money to good books only. Also, I like interacting with others. Blogger around the world, in book blogs, interaction is possible and free. Of course, the contests. I'm not that rich that I can buy 5 books every week. With the help of the contest, they are helping with my passion.

In short, I like the blog itself and all it contain and who runs it.

Book Blogger Hop

Another book blogger hop post here

Book Blogger Hop

What very popular and hyped book in the blogosphere did you NOT enjoy and how did you feel about posting your review

In my recent Book Blogger Hop post, about the favorite book cover, I answered Breaking Dawn. This time, it's Breaking Dawn again. The series was popularly known in most countries. Some are dying hard just to complete the series. In the last book, Breaking Dawn, I thought it would have a very thrilling ending, but I was wrong. There was no thrill in the book. That really disappointed  me. With all the struggle of the characters to fight the Volturi, was wasted. When I reviewed this book, I'm scared that I may offend Twilight fans, but fortunately, some agreed with me.

What is your favorite book cover?

First of all, I'm not a Twilight saga fan, but Breaking Dawn's cover is my favorite. Meyer said that the cover show how Bella became strong. The red pawn there represent her as a weakling at the start of the series, while the queen represent her as a strong woman at the end.

Again, I'm not a Twilight fan although I watched the movies.
